2nd Nature was created by Oberland Agriscience Inc., to help gardeners grow healthier plants by starting with healthier soil. From our base in Halifax, Nova Scotia, we use black soldier fly larvae to transform food waste into two valuable resources:
- BSFL frass, a nutritious organic fertilizer and soil amendment
- BSFL protein for animal feed
By giving food waste a second life, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions by keeping it out of landfills, and create gardening products that work with nature, not against it.
